Leading Lifting Companies Compete for LEEA Innovation Awards at LiftEx 2013

An impressive line-up of new products and applications will fight for the right to lift a LEEA Award for Innovation at LiftEx 2013, which takes place at the USN Bolton Arena, 14-15 November. All entries for the Most Innovative Product and Most Innovative Application awards will be showcased at the LHI-sponsored LiftEx Innovation Theatre, before the winners are decided by a panel of expert judges appointed by LEEA.

Introduced for the first time at last year’s LiftEx, LEEA Innovation Awards recognise outstanding product designs and applications in the overhead lifting sector. The inaugural contest was won by the Limpet, an ingenious height access and fall prevention system distributed in the UK by Lift Turn Move Ltd. Contenders for this year’s awards include a portable gantry, shackle, vacuum robot, lightweight lifting frame, RFID tags, load measurement device and lift planning software. Entrants will make short presentations to visitors and judges in the Innovation Theatre during the course of LiftEx 2013, with the winners announced on the afternoon of the second day of the show.

Now in its ninth year, LiftEx is the UK’s only annual trade exhibition dedicated to the overhead lifting industry. Admission is free for visitors and over 80 exhibiting companies will demonstrate products and services that offer safer, more efficient solutions for overhead lifting and working at height. Welcoming new sponsors Crosby, JC International, Straightpoint, Oilfield Solutions Ltd and Motion Software, highlights of LiftEx 2013 also include the opportunity for visitors to win a Kindle Fire in a daily quiz.

The USN Bolton Arena is just 500m from J6 of the M62 and next to Horwich Parkway railway station. Full details on LiftEx 2013, the LEEA Awards for Innovation, and fast, convenient online registration for visitors are now available at www.liftex.org.

LHI is LiftEx Official Publication.
