Raymond Handling Concepts Corp. Raises Money for Breast Cancer Charities | Industry News
Raymond Handling Concepts Corp. (RHCC) recently held an online charity auction, which netted $4,500 for two breast cancer charities.
RHCC auctioned a custom pink-painted Raymond Model 102XM walkie hand pallet truck. The charity auction, dubbed the “pink pallet jack project,” will be held on an annual basis. The winning bidder was John Souza, principal at J&K Trucking in Pleasanton, California.
“Breast cancer has touched the lives of many employees and customers of J&K Trucking. Through the purchase of the pink lift truck, our company will showcase its support for breast cancer awareness each and every day,” Souza said.
All proceeds from the auction benefited the HERS Breast Cancer Foundation of Fremont and The Community Foundation for South Central New York, a partner of the Tina Turner Memorial Golf Classic in Greene, New York.
“By supporting charities on both coasts of the United States, we are creating a powerful ripple effect — amplifying breast cancer awareness not only in our West Coast sales territories but also in central New York, where The Raymond Corporation was founded,” said Steve Raymond, president of RHCC.
Vera Packard, executive director of the HERS Breast Cancer Foundation, accepted the check of behalf of the organization on Sept. 22.
In addition, RHCC will sell pink ribbon magnets throughout October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Magnets are available for purchase at www.materialshandlingstore.com, and all proceeds will be donated to charity.
