Clark Material Handling Facilities Recognized for Safety Records | Industry News

In industry news, CLARK Material Handling Co. has been awarded the Kentucky Governor's Safety & Health award for its facilities in the state. Clark's aftermarket parts distribution center  in Louisville and its manufacturing and distribution center in Lexington were recognized for over a combined million hours worked without a lost-time accident. The Louisville, KY facility has worked over ten years without a lost time accident.

The Kentucky Labor Cabinet’s Governor’s Health & Safety Award Program is designed to promote safety and health awareness in workplaces throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky, encourage good sound work practices, and recognize those companies that have achieved significant reductions in injuries and illnesses in their workplaces.

“Everyone at Clark has safety as their top priority,” said Dennis Lawrence, Clark’s president & CEO. “Receiving the Governor’s Health & Safety award six times for our Louisville facility and for the first time for our Lexington facility is quite an accomplishment. It demonstrates that Clark  truly cares for the health and safety of its employees and that our employees are serious about ensuring our safety culture for the future.  We are extremely proud of the employees in these facilities who create a culture of safety every day.”
