Daily Equipment Co. Sells to MCFA

Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA), Houston, Texas, and Daily Equipment Company (DEC) announce that DEC has been sold to MCFA in a seamless succession planning step for DEC’s principle shareholder, Emmerson Daily. The acquisition price was not disclosed.

“The acquisition of Daily Equipment Company was an excellent investment opportunity that will help strengthen MCFA’s distribution network and further expand MCFA’s dealership holdings in important markets,” said Kent Eudy, vice president of sales and marketing, MCFA. “DEC has a long history of providing world-class customer service and operational excellence, and these strengths will continue to serve as key advantages for MCFA’s business and customers in the future.”

DEC is headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi, and has five other full-service branches throughout Mississippi and Louisiana: Biloxi, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport and Lake Charles.

“I am honored to transfer my business to a strong, long-term partner like MCFA,” said Emmerson Daily, CEO and founder of Daily Equipment Company. “MCFA offers me assurance that Daily Equipment Company’s customers will continue to be treated well and that our employee family will be provided a stable and bright future. MCFA and Daily Equipment have grown successfully together since DEC began in 1985. I have every confidence the business will continue to enjoy success and growth under the new MCFA ownership arrangement and that our customers will continue to experience industry-leading service and support in the years ahead.”

The company will continue to operate as Daily Equipment Company, with no changes in leadership, staff, or support. As part of the transaction, Daily will be resigning its representation of the Crown brand in favor of the Cat lift trucks, Mitsubishi forklift trucks, and Jungheinrich brands manufactured and distributed by MCFA.
