CMCO and Reed Rigging to Entertain ICHC Delegation

Details have emerged of the presentation that associate sponsor Columbus McKinnon Corp. (CMCO), will deliver at the Industrial Crane & Hoist Conference (ICHC), which will be co-located at the ProMat trade show at McCormick Place South in Chicago, Ill., on Tues., March 22, 2011. ICHC is staged by Industrial Lift & Hoist magazine.

CMCO, a global leader in providing products and application knowledge to help its customers lift, position, or secure materials easily and safely, will deliver a case study as a member of the Hoist Manufacturers Institute (HMI) in the Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) product group section of the program.

CMCO will co-present with entertainment specialist Reed Rigging, Inc., the largest show rigging company in the Midwest. Reed has completed installations at a number of high profile locations in downtown Chicago that ICHC delegates can readily relate to. Another interesting perspective is that it has provided the hoists being used throughout the ProMat exhibit hall to suspend trusses, so attendees can walk outside the presentation and see examples of its work.

Additionally, CMCO representatives Peter Cooke, a rigging specialist, and EOT crane expert Tom Reardon will sit on a panel discussion exploring regulations and training as they relate to overhead crane operators, rigging below-the-hook, and signalpersons. Cooke and Reardon will help discuss: with the revision of federal OSHA mobile crane regulations, where does certification and training stand with overhead crane owners and users?
