Terex Empty Container Handlers Arrive in Brazil
Terex Cranes has delivered two Terex FDC 18K6 empty container handler units to Hipercon Terminais de Carga Ltda, Santos Port, Brazil. As one of the leading logistics companies operating in one of the largest and most complex ports in the country, Hipercon took delivery of its two FDC 18K6 empty container handlers by Terex Cranes dealer Equiport on November 8.
Since the beginning of its partnership with Terex Cranes in Brazil 16 years ago, Equiport has gained experience in the port equipment sector, offering dedicated customer service provided by highly trained after-sales teams and a stock of 2,000 original spare parts. Equiport recently complemented its Port Equipment portfolio with Terex Empty Container Handlers and Forklifts.
With several hundred units in operation worldwide, the FDC 18K6 is considered a reliable six-high container handler. Equipped with a 200-hp engine, hydrodynamic transmission, and hydraulic side spreader for 20 and 40-foot containers, the FDC 18K6 was selected by Renator Nunes, general manager of Hipercon, because it offers "the right combination of reliability, compact size, high speed operation and low maintenance costs.”
In partnership with Equiport, Terex Cranes has sold more than 350 reach stacker units to 70-plus customers in 14 ports throughout Brazil.
