FlangeLock Contamination Control Tool Receives Patent

FlangeLock LLC, Greenwich, Conn., has received a patent from the U.S. Patent Office for its FlangeLock contamination control tool. The FlangeLock is a cap that slides onto the flange and is sealed with one turn of the bottom plug to seal in oil and keep out contaminants.

Targeted to eliminate hydraulic oil spills in construction, oil fields, dredging, wind turbines and large machine tool applications, the FlangeLock is made of lightweight anodized aluminum.

The product, which can be installed without tools, is available in color-coded sizes from 8 to 32, in codes 61, 62 and KAT-style hydraulic flanges.
