Lenze Releases Servo Inverter i700

Lenze Americas, Uxbridge, Mass., has introduced the Servo Inverter i700. Targeted for multi-axis applications, the drive system features short cycle times, 32-bit signal resolution and an overload capacity of more than 200 percent.

Designed for simple positioning tasks and dynamic, precise, multi-axis applications in handling and packaging machines or robot applications, the i700 single-axis and double-axis modules offer a power range from 0.37 to 15kW. Under normal operating conditions, the power supply modules do not require filtering or DC fusing, and have a built-in dynamic brake chopper. Intermediate electrical connections between the i700 drives use a cable-free rail system, and can be installed by setting connector arms.

“Together with the Controller 3200 C, the Servo Inverter i700 constitutes the heart of the Lenze controller-based automation system for machines with central motion control,” said Joel Thomas, business development sales engineer, Lenze Americas. “The reduced space requirement, lower number of components, and simple ease of assembly help deliver customers a significant boost in productivity.”

Capable of supporting motor technologies from standard three-phase motors to synchronous servomotors, the i700 offers intuitive software tools and a central engineering interface for integration into automation architectures through EtherCAT.
