J. R. Merritt Introduces New Control Handles
J.R. Merritt Controls Inc., Stratford, Conn., has introduced the MG9, MG9-4 and MG25 palm grips to its line of handles. Operator feedback was taken into consideration during both the design and development of these handles to provide a product that meets the needs of industry users who operate overhead, container, and gantry cranes, as well as mining dredges, draglines and shovels.
The MG9, MG9-4 and MG25 palm handles are made from ultra-tough Delrin for durability. When these versatile grips are mounted on J.R. Merritt’s line of joysticks and master switches, such as the VNSO, XLVNSO, VCSO and CS1, the user can maneuver the joystick by placing the handle shaft in the space between the thumb and pointer finger, which is effective when used in conjunction with a console-mounted wrist rest. These palm handles accommodate tactile, sealed, high-life and momentary pushbuttons, allowing for increased functionality in one controller.
