Ideal Crane Acquires Griese & Ross

According to the Small Business Times, Ideal Crane Rental, Inc., Madison, Wis., has acquired the assets of the Griese & Ross crane fleet from Oshkosh, Wis.-based C.R. Meyer & Sons Co. The purchase improves Ideal Crane's position with crane rental and construction equipment dealer markets in Wisconsin.

Ideal Crane, which has locations in Madison, Milwaukee, and LaCrosse, will maintain the Griese & Ross sales and dispatch employees in Oshkosh, as well as its operations in Green Bay, Tomahawk, and Marshfield.

"Griese & Ross has an excellent reputation and is well-respected in the construction industry,” said Robert Kalhagen, president of Ideal Crane. “We look forward to providing the same service to their existing customers in the Fox Valley and northern Wisconsin."
