Stafford Expands in Virginia, Adds Products to Line-up

After acquiring Scott-Gallaher, Inc. last month, Stafford, Tifton, Ga., now has 11 locations in the Southeast and has expanded into Roanoke, Va. With the acquisition, Stafford's product line-up includes Kobelco Cranes, New Holland Construction Equipment, Terex construction equipment, Terex articulated and rigid frame trucks, Broderson Cranes, and Atlas Copco attachments.

In April, Stafford bought A.E. Finley & Associates in a continued effort meet the company's goal to increase sales territory and represent a variety of related products. According to Stafford, the Scott-Gallaher acquisition was beneficial because of its location, quality of staff, and it provided expansion for Stafford into the quarry- and mining-related industries.

Stafford president and chief executive officer, John D. Wall, said that Stafford will retain all Scott-Gallaher employees, as well as its management structure. The Roanoke location will fall under the responsibility of Mike Davis, vice president and general manager for the Carolinas and Virginia. Ron Scott, Sr., chief executive officer of the former Scott-Gallaher organization will be a senior vice president at Stafford, and Ron Scott, Jr. will continue to be vice president of operations for the Roanoke location

“We're very excited about becoming a part of Strafford's team,” Scott, Sr.said. “I've been watching Stafford's activities across the region and know that they are very serious about providing quality machines and backing them up with a strong parts and service commitment.”
