Cat Dealer Receives Cat-Branded Telehandler Order

After JLG Industries commenced shipment of the Caterpillar-branded telehandlers in late October, Cashman Equipment, a Caterpillar dealer based in North Las Vegas, Nev., celebrated the delivery of its new machines on November 16. To date, Cashman has placed the largest order in North America for the new telehandlers.

“We are replacing the existing rental fleet composed of the latest generation of Caterpillar telehandlers,” said Todd Gilligan, sales manager for Cashman's southern region. “We also are planning to increase our market share in sales and rental, especially in the Las Vegas and Reno areas • and we are optimistic that these new machines will help us do that.”

More than 100 new Cat telehandlers had shipped from the JLG's McConnellsburg, Pa., plant when Cashman's deliveries arrived at its North Las Vegas store.

As part of a strategic manufacturing alliance between the two manufacturers, JLG is supplying six models of new Cat telehandlers to North and South America. The new TL Series includes four models based on JLG-branded designs while incorporating Caterpillar components. The TL642, TL943, TL1055 and TL1255 have a capacity range of 6,500 to 12,000 pounds and maximum lift heights of 42 to 55 feet. The TL1255 increases the maximum lift capacity, when compared to the previous Caterpillar line, by 1,000 pounds. All four models are manufactured in Pennsylvania.

Two Cat TH models, the TH220B and TH330B, will be supplied from JLG's manufacturing facility in Maasmechelen, Belgium. Those models are Caterpillar designs and offer capacities of 7,000 pounds and 8,000 pounds and maximum lift heights of 20 feet and 24 feet, respectively.
