Verlinde’s new range of electrical chain hoists

Verlinde’s new electric chain hoists have been two years in development aligning manufacturing technology and market needs. The Eurochain VX electric hoists are designed for loads between 63 and 10,000kg coupled with improved toughness and power for high levels of dependability.

The hoists come with various devices as standard including: an up/down electrical safety limit switch, an IP55 hoist and travel motor, a two button pendant for hook suspended hoist/manual trolley or a four button pendant for hoist with electric trolley. Also offered as standard is a new suspender compatible with existing trolleys, which was designed to facilitate hoist installation. The reduction of “C” dimensions optimises the height of lift, proposed as standard from 3m.

The dimensions of the lifting unit have been reduced and the new chain bucket design has led to an innovative assembly in two parts that increases the hoist’s toughness and safety making  Eurochain VX suitable for the production environment.

The travel limit switch is now tougher for operating in difficult environments. The hoist brake, too, has been optimised. Apart from upgraded operator safety, the improvements require minimum servicing and less maintenance.

The hoist motor’s operational characteristics exceed those required by market standards. It is more reliable and its lifespan has been lengthened. The flow of cooling air for the motor has been improved and overheat-sensors are fitted as standard.

The gear box is now more powerful: it has a wider range of ratios to align it with a greater scope of customer applications and improved productivity. Torque limiter settings are now more precise in order to offer greater security to the structure of buildings in the event of excess weight.
