Kuenz Supply Two Intermodal Cranes for Long-standing Customer Metrans

In December 2019, Kuenz installed two intermodal cranes for the Metrans Group, the first in Budapest and the second in Prague. The new cranes each have a lifting capacity of 37 tons and are handling containers, swap bodies and trailers.

Kuenz have now installed a total of 15 cranes for Metrans since 2006. One of the leading companies for intermodal transport, Metrans connects the seaports of Rotterdam, Hamburg and Bremerhaven with the hinterland (southern Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Austria).  At the companies largest terminal in Prague, Kuenz have installed six cranes, while further cranes are situated in Česká, Třebová and Budapest.  All of them are designed as double-girder bridges with superstructure and cantilever on both sides.  The three Cranes in Dunajska Streda, Slovakia are designed as conventional double-girder bridges.
