Verton appoints Tim Ekert as new CEO
Tim Ekert has been appointed as the new chief executive officer of Verton, effective 1 November 2021. Although Ekert has been acting in the role for some time as part of a structured succession plan, his appointment has only just been formalised.
Ekert will replace the current CEO, Trevor Bourne, who will remain a director and board member of Verton Technologies.
Bourne said, “Over the past year, Tim’s contribution to the business has seen growth in our internal capability and global customer base. His knowledge and experience will drive the company’s growth and international expansion strategies.”
Ekert has a double degree in Engineering (Manufacturing Systems) and Business (Marketing) from the Queensland University of Technology, and has held previous leadership and executive management roles at SmartCap Technologies Pty Ltd, Austin Engineering Ltd and Principle Industries Pty Ltd
