Sunbelt UK acquires MAS

Sunbelt UK has acquired Media Access Solutions (MAS), a UK aerial lift supplier specialising in MEWPs for the film and television markets. from owner and manager Tim Kendall in an all-cash purchase. The final deal was agreed and completed this afternoon. No further details of the transaction have been released.

According to a Sunbelt LinkedIn post, “operating on a national level, from Leighton Buzzard, Shepperton and Rotherham, Media Access Solutions will support us in providing access equipment to the industry.

“As well as being a specialist powered access service provider, they will now be able to provide their customers with the full Sunbelt Rentals range of equipment including telehandlers, accommodation, welfare units, tower lights, fencing, barriers, battery storage power solutions and much more.

MAS  was founded by Tim Kendal and began operations in 2014 with the idea that there was a growing market for aerial work platforms that were specified with the film industry in mind It has depots close to production facilities at Pinewood, Shepperton, Elstree, Longcross, 3 Mills, Bottleyard Bristol, Media City Manchester, BBC Glasgow and ITV Leeds. Although he is selling the business, Kendall is staying on board to lead the acquired business into a new expansion phase.
