Evolution of business sees changes to Sparrows Group senior management team
Sparrows Group (Sparrows), the engineering and maintenance services specialist for the global energy and industrial sectors, has announced changes to its senior management. The announcement comes following Sparrows Group’s acquisition by Altrad Group last year. Sparrows will remain operating autonomously as an individual entity.
Following the acquisition Sparrows will move to a regional operational model to better align with Altrad’s existing business model. This will not have an impact on any existing or potential customers and will support Sparrows’ ambitions of expanding its global reach and service offering, offering it more direct access to Altrad’s experience and scale in the industrial services sector.
The chief executive officer, chief financial officer, chief technical officer and HR director will leave the business on the 31 May, at which stage regional directors and managers will be responsible for the leadership of the business. Many of the regional leaders have been in the company for more than 10 years and, supported by Altrad’s support functions, will provide important continuity to ongoing operations. Alpha Offshore Service, Sparrows’ wind energy business, will continue to be run by its existing management.
Ran Oren, co-CEO of Altrad, said, “Sparrows has continued to perform well, if not better than expected, and we are delighted to have Sparrows as part of the Altrad family. The move to this new structure will allow us to provide better support to the business, while the experience in the regional leadership teams provides continuity of service to customers so they can be assured of the same high levels of delivery.
“I would like to thank all the senior leadership team who are leaving the business for their very significant contributions and wish them all the best as they move on to new challenges.”
