Unic Cranes Europe launches UM325 Pop Up Crane

The new Unic UM325 Pop-Up mini spider crane, is described as a revolutionary mini spider crane designed to redefine efficiency and flexibility in specialised lifting operations. Packed with advanced features and innovative technologies, this crane is engineered to meet the demands of modern construction and industrial lifting applications.

Powered by lithium high-capacity battery pack and with the ability to charge while working, the UM325 Pop-Up crane ensures sustained power for prolonged operations, minimising and helping customers reduce their carbon emissions through eco-friendly, green lifting.

Supplied as a standard feature, the UM325 features a 2.9m – 10.0m main boom, along with a newly introduced fully hydraulic telescoping luffing jib/searcher hook attachment. This attachment has a maximum capacity of 1000kg, an extension range spanning from 2.0m to 5.7m, and a luffing range of -10 to 80deg offset. With this added capability, the Unic UM325 achieves an impressive maximum lifting height of 17.8m and a maximum working radius of 16m.

The extendable tracks enable enhanced stability and manoeuvrability, allowing the crane to navigate various terrains with ease. Benefitting from a convenient pick and carry function, this versatile and agile crane can be used for both lifting and carrying loads, ensuring complete productivity and optimisation when on site.

Graeme Riley, CEO of Unic Cranes Europe says, “After unveiling our prototype at Bauma 2022, we sparked considerable interest from our dealer network clients. Following this, we’ve collaborated closely with Unic Furukawa in Japan to further develop the product’s capabilities for the UK and European markets”.

“Now, we’re ready to distribute our first batch of UM325 cranes through our dealer network and make them available for hire in the UK market. We’re eager to partner with our existing customers to introduce this innovative and unmatched product to the market. The new, increased flexible variable outrigger design features five different off settable angles and three different extensions, allowing the Unic UM325 to work in tighter, more restricted areas while maintaining excellent load ratings. The pop-up turret design enables the crane to be used closer to walls and obstacles than ever before by reducing the rear overhang, providing maximum versatility”.

The Unic UM325 benefits from full remote-control operation including, travelling, setup, outrigger deployment including auto-levelling, and all crane functions helping to ensure quick and precise setup before commencing lifting operations.

Fitted with the RaycoWylie i4500 system, the Unic UM325 mini spider crane boasts a new load chart philosophy that maximises capacities and range limiting as standard, providing opportunities for enhanced performance in various lifting scenarios. With a simple and intuitive methodology, the UNIC UM325 mini crane makes planning and execution of lifts straightforward and efficient.

Operators can also experience improved diagnostics with the on-screen feedback system, providing comprehensive information on crane controls and load data for seamless operation. The new RaycoWylie system features easy-to-view and understand graphics, enhancing overall user experience and operational productivity.

Non-marking tracks are included as standard, to reduce the impact on delicate surfaces, ensuring a tidy and professional work environment.
