Jekko adds a new model to its range of knuckle boom crawler cranes

The new model in the Jekko range of knuckle boom crawler cranes, JF545.2, has been launched. The machine has all the features that have made JF545 one of the most popular models in Jekko’s product portfolio, with some major upgrades further increasing performances and making it easy to use.

The Variable Speed Engine Management ensures accurate engine control for better movement control and reduced consumption. The crane movements are faster, more precise and smoother. Overall engine efficiency is improved with lower fuel consumption; in addition, the operator can choose from three working modes – Eco, Normal and Power – that each combine power output and consumption differently.

All engine operative information, such as: rpm, fuel level and residual autonomy can be viewed on the crane main display. This is a new 7in touch screen display, which also shows all crane-related information. The control panel is IP66 waterproof, features an intuitive interface and a wider set of functions than on the previous model.

In terms of structure, the outrigger hydraulic system has been redesigned, resulting in improved precision in crane positioning. A dedicated electric cooler for hydraulic oil has been employed, to maintain an optimal oil temperature, increasing system performance and reliability.

The crane has a new DPF filter with automatic management to minimize emissions.

For low-temperature countries and environments an optional pre-heating kit has been designed to manage the oil warm up so the crane is immediately ready for use in all conditions.
