Genie superboom delivered to Mordefroy Levage

Mordefroy Levage has taken delivery of a Genie SX-180 boom lift, making the French equipment rental company one of just a few companies in France to own this 57m machine. The SX-180 is the tallest boom lift in Mordefroy Levage’s fleet and is Genie’s highest-reaching lift.

“The addition of the SX-180 will enable Mordefroy Levage to support wind turbine maintenance, telecommunications, public services, and commercial complex construction,” said Patrick Mordefroy, owner of Mordefroy Levage. Responsive extension delivers workers to a height of 19 floors in just under 5 minutes, contributing to productivity at extreme heights. “We selected the SX-180 because it complements our existing fleet and expands our capabilities to meet customer needs.”

Mordefroy Levage specializes in crane and MEWP rentals for industrial maintenance, public infrastructure, and high reach construction. Mordefroy Levage and its sister company Jagulak together operate 20 handling units, 40 access platforms, and 15 cranes.

The SX-180’s 2.38m horizontal reach, and 3.05m rotating jib with135deg vertical and 60deg horizontal articulation deliver flexibility for workers to position the platform to access jobsites. A standard 2.44m self-levelling platform has an unrestricted capacity of 340kg, making it possible for two workers to be in the platform at once.

To help with transport, the SX-180 features the Genie X-Chassis system. Axles extend for stable operation and driving at full height, and then retract for transport. The machine’s narrow profile allows it to be fully loaded onto a low-bed trailer for height/width-specific transfers or even overnight transport.

Since 1997, Mordefroy Levage has built a reputation for investing in cutting-edge equipment. The company serves France from two locations in Barberey Saint Sulpice and Montereau Fault Yonne.
