A Palazzani XTJ 52+ for Joly Location
At the end of 2024 Palazzani delivered a new, customised Ragno XTJ 52+ to Joly Location, one of the leading names in France for MEWP and lifting equipment rentals.
Founded in 1973 by Marcel Joly, Joly Location has more than 50 years experience in the rental sector, also distinguishing itself at European level for safe, efficient and innovative solutions.
In the 2000s, Joly Location began specializing in MEWP rentals, including spider platforms, continually expanding its range of machinery to meet the needs of increasingly diverse sectors: from wind energy to nuclear power, petrochemicals to the preservation and safety of historical heritage like Notre Dame de Paris. In fact, the current fleet covers working heights from 10 to 90m and, by 2025, will be able to reach 100m.
To reach new heights and expand its horizons, Joly Location has added a new Palazzani XTJ 52+ Spider Lift to its fleet, which already includes over 20 spider platforms with working heights ranging from 13 to 42m.
With a working height of 52m, an outreach of 19.5m, a basket capacity of 400kg and an hydraulic winch of 980kg lifting capacity, the XTJ 52+ is suited to work in telecommunications, electrical networks and construction or maintenance work on cultural heritage sites.
“The reasons we chose this Palazzani platform,” says Lionel Joly, managing director of Joly Location, “besides its impressive working height that complements our spider fleet, are its ease of use and the speed with which the machine can be positioned, even in complex environments.”
Laura Gasparini, export sales manager at Palazzani Industrie said, “We are excited to begin a new collaboration with Joly Location. The XTJ 52+ is designed to meet the needs of professionals working in challenging environments, offering excellent technical performance and versatile use.” Laura added, “We are confident that this machine will be a valuable addition to Joly Location’s fleet and contribute to their success in the coming years “.
What makes Joly Location’s XTJ 52+ even more special is the custom design by Dijon-based artist Pegaz, known for his innovative and futuristic style.
“As we have always been involved in the local cultural scene, the idea to collaborate with a local artist from Dijon emerged,” says Lionel Joly. “Pegaz immediately accepted the challenge, and we worked together, blending my vision with his ideas, creating an instant synergy.”
With details reminiscent of superhero armour, printed circuits, and cannons, plus a nod to fighter jets with the famous “shark teeth” and a majestic look when raised, the machine draws attention wherever it goes, becoming a visual icon for the company.
“It was a two to three week project, punctuated by moments of pure inspiration, resulting in a unique, signed, and original design that sparks curiosity and smiles everywhere it goes,” concludes Lionel Joly.
