112 Skyjack machines for A-Plant Access

A-Plant has taken delivery of a further 112 new powered access machines joining one of the youngest fleets in the hire industry.

This latest tranche of investment has seen A-Plant purchase a range of diesel-powered rough terrain scissor lifts valued at almost £3 million from Skyjack. The order comprises  8, 9.7, 12.1, 13.1 and 15.2m (26, 32, 40, 43 and 50ft) models, all of which have been delivered to A-Plant Powered Access Service Centres across the UK and have been placed straight into the fleet.

This year alone, A-Plant has placed orders valued at more than £14 million for access equipment. The new Skyjack scissor lifts are designed to operate on any job site terrain and have increased platform space and improved reach capabilities. The order includes the SJ 9241 diesel scissor lift, which is highly specified with innovative features such as twin powered decks.

 A-Plant’s Regional managing director Paul Dennis said, “We chose Skyjack machines because they are exceptionally well-proven in terms of quality, reliability and robustness. Over the years, they’ve proven to be an excellent investment and it goes without saying that these latest machines will serve our customers well, especially on large construction sites.”

As well as offering a wide range of equipment for working at height, A-Plant offers accredited access training courses, including IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) and PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association) certified training. In April of this year, A-Plant was declared ‘IPAF Training Centre of the Year 2015’ at the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPA) hosted in Washington, D.C., USA.
