Verlinde hoist installed at Thai hydro power plant

Eurocrane (Asia) Co. Ltd., of Thailand, was appointed by contractor, Italian Thai Development Public Company Ltd., to supply and install a complete electric overhead travelling crane for Naresuan Dam Hydro Power Plant in Phitsanulok Province, north Thailand.

The 8.4 mW power plant is one of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand’s (EGAT) new plants in line with the government’s strategy to increase the capacity of power generation using clean energy.

Eurocrane installed a Verlinde Eurobloc electric wire rope hoist with a lifting capacity of 60/12.5 tons and 11m span, with an available lifting height of 33m to reach the rotor of the turbine, for service and maintenance.

Eurocrane Asia has supplied lifting equipment for several EGAT projects and power plants for both government infrastructure and private sector industrial facilities.
