LHI Raises Profile at CeMAT Shows in Russia, China, India

Lift & Hoist International (LHI) magazine has secured bonus distribution at CeMAT trade shows in Russia, China and India as the publication increases its presence in developing markets.

LHI, launched in 2011, is built on a circulation of 8,000 printed copies distributed bimonthly within Europe, but that was boosted this year by 4,000 additional digital copies of each edition circulated around the world. The title covers overhead cranes, hoists, access equipment, lift trucks and relevant controls, components, standards and trade associations.

This distribution agreement with Deutsche Messe, the organisers of CeMAT shows, including its flagship event held every three years in Hannover, Germany, fits LHI’s plans to raise its profile in developing markets.

The first of the three shows to distribute LHI is CeMAT Russia, which takes place in Moscow, 24-27 September, 2013. CeMAT Asia returns to Shanghai, 28-31 October, while New Delhi is the home of CeMAT India, 17-20 December, 2013.

Finnish giant Konecranes recently told its shareholders that emerging markets represent 80 percent of growth potential, pointing to Asia as the hotbed.

LHI associate publisher and editor Richard Howes said: “It was important that we grew the product from strong, printed foundations in Europe, but we have always delivered news and material handling solutions in a timely fashion throughout the world with our online and digital media products. This distribution agreement with Deutsche Messe is another important step in our goal to become the leading industrial lifting media brand in developed and developing markets.”

Vertikal Days and LiftEx, where it is official publication, are just two other major trade events where LHI will be distributed to industrial end users this year.
