Arxcis Releases Customizable Training CDs

Arxcis, Inc., Kingston, Wash., an industrial training and OSHA-accredited crane inspections provider, has transferred its training program from classroom to CD. The Arxcis Hard Hat Training Series CDs are fully customizable, allowing instructors to use the information as is or to tailor it for their unique applications. The CDs cover the following equipment and topics: sit-down forklifts, aerial lifts, scissor lifts, telescopic handlers, truck-mounted cranes, rough-terrain cranes, and vehicle-mounted aerial lifts.

Users of the CDs can implement their own text to include information, such as company policies and additional test questions, as well as photos or logos to accompany the existing Arxcis training materials. Instructors can print unlimited student manuals and tests directly from the CD, which avoids the costly and time-consuming task of reordering materials each time the course is given.

“Most employers view safety training as an investment. Yet, tuition costs for many of the country's training programs can be prohibitive,” said Myron Lee, Arxcis co-founder. “We hope to alleviate this cost by providing a one-time cost CD that can be used for any number of trainees on any number of occasions.”

Each Hard Hat Training Series CD includes federal OSHA regulations, accident profiles, and inspection tips on more than 50 PowerPoint slides. Student manuals and tests, as well as instructor guides and certificates of completion, are also part of the package. The Hard Hat Training Series is available for $375 per CD ($395 with Spanish-language student manuals and tests). Trainers can view samples at www.hardhattraining.com.
