Barnhart acquires White Crane

Barnhart Crane and Rigging Co has purchased White Crane Co Inc, of West Columbia, South Carolina, USA. The acquisition is Barnhart’s second branch in South Carolina and marks the company’s fourth acquisition in the past eight months.

White Crane was founded in 1977 by Eddie Flynt, and the family-owned company has earned a committed customer base by providing quality crane rental service, knowledgeable and experienced operators, certified riggers and transport services.

“We are pleased to welcome White Crane to the expanding Barnhart family,” said David Wills, Barnhart regional director of the Mid-Atlantic. “The company’s customer service is second to none, and their experience in heavy industrial lifts; shutdowns, turnarounds and outages; power generation plants; and the hauling, lifting, and setting of out-of-gauge components makes them a perfect fit for us.”

“Joining forces with Barnhart gives our customers more options by tapping into a nationwide network of branches backed by a dedicated engineering team, customised solutions, expertise in logistics and a fleet of transporters, trucks, and barges,” said Jason Flynt, former owner of White Crane.

Barnhart is one of America’s leading lifting and logistics contractors. With a current network of nearly 60 facilities, Barnhart provides world-class service through a local presence. Operated crane rental, rigging services, outage planning, specialised solutions for component replacement, industrial storage and national project cargo logistics all combine to ensure Barnhart’s customers receive the lowest total project cost. Barnhart also boasts one of the largest engineering teams in the industry – including a full R&D department – driving innovation across all services. Barnhart is a US company headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee.
