CareLift Delivers First ZB32032 to the Navy
In 2005, CareLift Equipment Ltd., Breslau, Ontario, made a very big step forward for the North American lifting equipment industry with its introduction of the 32,000-pound capacity Zoom Boom ZB32032 telescopic handler, the highest capacity telescopic handler built in North America. CareLift announced that the first ZB32032 was delivered to the Navy Special Warfare Group Two in Norfolk, Va., on July 10.
According to Dave Bristow, vice president of sales and marketing for CareLift, the ZB32032 will be used on-site to handle a variety of watercraft. Operators will use both the sideshift/fork positioner carriage and special 5-foot jib boom on the unit. CareLift provided both operational and service training upon delivery to the logistics and support unit of the Navy Special Warfare group.
Another Navy unit • the Navy Special Warfare Group Four in San Diego, Calif. • is scheduled to take delivery of a Zoom Boom ZB32032 in 2007. Additionally, Bristow said quotes for the ZB32032 have been submitted for approval to companies in the oil production and nature gas pipe-handling industries.
