Coca-Cola Deploys Plug Power Fuel Cells

Plug Power, Inc., Latham, N.Y., has announced that Coca-Cola Refreshments, Atlanta, Ga., has deployed more than 50 hydrogen fuel cell units to replace traditional battery power in its electric lift truck fleet. The fleet will operate at its 250,000-square-foot bottling and distribution center in San Leandro, Calif.

Fuel cells are rapidly replacing traditional battery power in the material handling space with recent Q4 VC investments showing growing financial confidence in the technology, according to Plug Power.
