Products for Hazardous Environments
Columbus McKinnon’s explosion-proof and spark-resistant air chain and wire rope hoists are designed for environments with high levels of explosive gas, vapor, or dust. Designed to help prevent catastrophic events and keep operators safe, some of the company’s explosion-proof and spark- resistant hoists include the Yale Cable King and Global King, Shaw-Box World Series, and Budgit air chain hoists. With engineered configurations, these hoists are well-suited for offshore platforms, refineries, pipelines, and downstream oil and gas processing facilities. Columbus McKinnon also manufactures low-headroom hoists, including the Zephyr from Chester Hoist, to help overcome the challenges of confined workspaces in offshore applications, as well as rack and pinion trolley drives and track clamps that keep the trolley secured on the beam and prevent the load from moving due to vessel motion.
