Empire Crane Adds Magni Telehandlers to its Offerings – Industry News
Empire Crane Company has expanded its offering in New York and northern New Jersey by becoming an authorized dealer for Magni telescopic handlers. Italian manufacturer Magni and its exclusive importer and master distributor for the 23 easternmost U.S. states, Paramount Equipment, selected Empire Crane as the first U.S. dealer for Magni products.
“Many of our customers that own cranes have a need for telehandlers as well. We see this as a natural addition to our product mix,” said Luke Lonergan of Empire Crane.“Businesses continue to look for ways to increase profitability, and Magni telehandlers make sense because they are so versatile. They are well suited for roofing, bridge work, concrete, masonry, marine, general contracting, and more.”
In addition, Magni telehandlers' compactness, high reach, and ability to rotate their turret make them particularly effective in the cramped spaces of metropolitan New York City and other congested urban areas.
Magni’s extensive line of rotating and fixed-body telehandlers includes models with lifting heights to 128 ft. Their productivity can let them take the place of a telescopic forklift, a rough-terrain crane, and an aerial lift.
Though new to the U.S., Magni telehandlers are well known in Europe for offering superior height, lifting capacity, safety, and efficiency. Their key features also include integrated diagnostics, remote-control operation, asymmetrical outrigger positioning, and an RFID attachment system.
Empire Crane has placed an initial order for two rotating units, a model RTH 5.25 Smart and a model RTH 5.35S. The RTH 5.25 Smart has a maximum capacity of 11,020 lbs. and a maximum lifting height of 81 ft. The RTH 5.35S has a maximum lifting capacity of 11,000 lbs. and a maximum lifting height of 113’1”.
Empire Crane is supporting the Magni line with parts and trained service technicians, backed by Magni and master distributor Paramount Equipment.
