Faresin electric telehandler for Bennie Equipment
Equipment solutions provider Bennie Equipment has taken delivery of the Faresin 6.26 Electric Telehandler from UK dealer GGR Group.
The purchase follows the growing demand for eco-friendly plant equipment across the UK and forms part of Bennie Equipment’s long-term commitment to sustainability and reducing their carbon emissions.
The electric machine provides a range of benefits not only in emission levels, but also maintenance and running costs when compared to traditional internal combustion engine equipment.
Managing director, Jason McNally said, “Our business is built on service and being able to respond to customer demand at short notice – it is key to our success. We place a lot of value on the relationships with our supply chain and in this instance, GGR Group were able to supply a unit quickly due to their commitment to carrying stock machines. It is well publicised that this Faresin telehandler is gaining a reputation for being a viable eco-friendly alternative to internal combustion engine equipment, which has pioneered the market for products of this type”.
Steve King, commercial and sales director at GGR Group said, “Bennie Equipment were amongst the first companies to show interest in the electric telehandler, visiting our premises in Haddenham for a dedicated demonstration, before the first unit had even been sold”.
The telehandler is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack, which unlike regular lead acid batteries can be opportunity charged without any damage or reduction to the battery life. A fast-charging system allows the batteries to be rapidly topped up at convenient intervals throughout the day. A regular 110v on-board charger is included when larger power supplies are not available and can be used for an overnight charge. The standard 300Ah battery will last up to six hours of typical use with a rapid recharge time of 1.5 hours from zero with the external fast charger.
