Hamilton Introduces High-Capacity, Corrosion Resistant Wheels

Hamilton Caster, Hamilton, Ohio, introduces new Nylast wheels suited for high-capacity applications in corrosive and sanitary environments. With a tensile strength of 11,000 psi and resistance to both moisture and many chemicals, Nylast wheels are a popular alternative to steel for heavy-load applications. The Nylast wheel’s performance characteristics are best apt for applications in the chemical, food, and heavy manufacturing industries.

Nylast wheels are made from solid cast, high-performance nylon. The Hamilton Nylast material is specially formulated with finely divided particles of molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) to enhance its load-bearing capability while maintaining the impact resistance inherent to nylon.  The face, sides, and bore of all Nylast wheels are CNC-machined to precision tolerances to ensure a consistent quality product. A popular combination is to mount Nylast wheels in Hamilton’s stainless steel casters due to their shared corrosive resistant properties.

The wheels are also standard offerings in many other Hamilton forged steel caster series. Most offerings from 4- to 12-inch diameters are stocked at the factory for same day/next day PRONTO shipment. Special order sizes are available from 2-1/2- to 18 inches in diameter.
