Harrington Hoists to Sponsor ICHC ProMat
Harrington Hoists, Inc., Manheim, Pa., has signed up to sponsor the Industrial Crane & Hoist Conference (ICHC), co-located at the ProMat trade show, McCormick Place, Chicago, Ill., on Tues., March 22, 2011. ICHC will be staged by Industrial Lift and Hoist (ILH) magazine.
Harrington, which last year celebrated its 20th anniversary as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kito Corp., provides a wide variety of lifting solutions for many industrial applications. Its top-quality products include electric and air powered chain hoists and trolleys, electric wire rope hoists and trolleys, lever hoists, manual hand chain hoists, push and geared trolleys, overhead cranes, crane accessories and a full line of replacement parts.
Harrington sells products through qualified, local industrial distributors, rigging supply, material handling distributors and crane builders throughout the U.S. The company has also created a nationwide system of certified repair centers to support service needs after the sale.
Harrington is a member of the Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA) and Hoist Manufacturers Institute (HMI), which are product groups of the Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA).
"Supporting the end user base through a top quality conference like ICHC is important to Harrington,” said Bret Lussow, business development sales manager. “This conference has been a tremendous success in the past and we are sure it will be beneficial to all who attend in Chicago. Having the conference coincide with ProMat is a fantastic opportunity for everyone involved in material handling to get valuable information and training as well as the opportunity to see the latest products available to the market."
ILH associate publisher and editor, Richard Howes, said he is “delighted to welcome Harrington as sponsors. I have worked closely with the people behind the brand for a number of years and know it to be one of the most dynamic companies in the lifting industry."
Register today to attend ICHC—the biggest overhead crane and hoist users' forum North America has ever seen—for the latest on the economy, standards, safety, and productivity. Other highlights include an OSHA standards panel, a Rigging masterclass, View from an economist, Case studies, and CMAA and ANSI/ASME B30 in practice.
An ICHC panel will discuss regulations and training as they relate to overhead crane operators, rigging below-the-hook, and signalpersons. The panel will dissect the revision of federal OSHA mobile crane regulations, and chart where certification and training stand with overhead crane owners and users. ICHC takes place above the largest show floor of lifting and moving technology you will see anywhere in North America next year. End users cannot afford to miss the valuable lessons that will be served up during a value-packed, one-day program. The event is structured to promote the sharing of knowledge among industry peers.
An agenda and registration information can be found on the show's website.
