Haulotte Group Launches New Boom and Scissor Lifts at Intermat

Haulotte Group reports it has been investing in production equipment, ensuring the long-term development of its commercial network, and increasing R&D in order to better meet market expectations.

In 2012, Haulotte will introduce its new compact scissor lift range. With working heights from 10m to 18m, the compact RT scissor lift range of machines is suitable for a variety of applications. The Compact C10DX and C12DX, which are new at Intermat, feature a new Kubota engine that complies with Tier 4/Stage IV. The range has four-wheel drive, a ground clearance of 27cm, and a hydraulic differential lock that can climb steep slopes, enabling them to work efficiently on rough-terrain. A new outrigger design gives added strength, and there is now one switch to retract and deploy all four outriggers at the same time.

A prototype of the new HT23RTJ rough-terrain boom lift will be previewed at the show. Ideal for many applications including construction work, the shipbuilding industry, chemical and petrochemical industries, and the aviation industry, the HT23RTJ has a platform height 22.4m, horizontal outreach 18.1m, and a telescopic jib of 2.2m. Lifting capacity is 450kg.

The prototype unit will feature three steer settings: two-wheel steer, four wheel steer and crab. With centralized control, the four wheels are controlled simultaneously, allowing the steering movements to operate more quickly and safely.

The new telescopic boom has oscillating axles as standard for excellent rough-terrain ability. This equipment also has differential lock and a narrow chassis, which enables it to be operated in the most congested environments.

Particular attention has been paid to the rigidity of materials. The boom and the jib are made of high elastic modulus steel making them very stable and safe to operate. Similarly, for unmatched performance in terms of simultaneous movements, special care has been taken to optimise the capacity of hydraulic circuit. The operator can achieve maximum control in safely and comfort. The chassis is controlled by a hydraulic system that makes the machine extreme reliable.

Components come from high-quality manufacturers, including Kubota engines, Boxch joysticks, and hydraulic components from Sauer, Bosch, and Hydraforce.

Cables are used to extend the boom, and it will no longer be necessary to dismantle the boom to replace the cables.

The HT23RTJ will be Haulotte’s first machine to incorporate a fully modular basket, which is easy and cost effective to repair.

The new telescopic boom will be available in Europe and North America in the third quarter of 2012.
