HBC plug and play radio control receivers for industrial cranes and hoists

German remote control manufacturer HBC-radiomatic has launched new plug and play compact radio receivers which can be installed for use on overhead cranes and hoists without cables and wiring.

The FSE 308 and FSE 312 incorporate sophisticated technical design elements, easy installation, and other cost-saving features. The FSE 308, for example, has eight relay outputs for black / white control commands for the wireless control of standard chain hoists. The FSE 312, meanwhile, is equipped with four additional relays, thus, allowing for the convenient control of standard industrial cranes.

Both new products come with an intelligent frequency management system at no additional cost. Either DECT or the 2.4 GHz technology can be selected according to the customer’s requirements, enabling comfortable working without frequency conflicts, even in areas with many radio users.

Safety is provided by a robust plastic housing in renowned HBC quality (protection class IP 65) as well as an E-STOP circuit corresponding to Performance Level d, category 3 according to EN ISO 13849-1:2008.

The FSE 308 and FSE 312 products can be easily installed; with its Han 10 plug connection, the compact dimensions of 119 x 141 x 57 mm (4.7 x 4.5 x 2.2 inches), and the low weight of 550 grams (1.2 pounds), the FSE 308 can be plugged directly onto the machine without wiring effort. Furthermore, this solution eliminates the need for wear-prone cables, even when space is limited.

The FSE 312 has space-saving dimensions of 150 x 141 x 64 mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 2.5 inches) and a convenient weight of 680 grams (1.5 pounds). Depending of the customer’s needs, the receiver is available with Han 16 or Han 24 plug connector.

The new receivers come standard with an integrated horn as well as an integrated signal light for the indication of radio operation. Such an indicator is required in many countries according to EN 15011 and would normally need to be installed in addition to the radio system. This requirement is already met with these new products.
