History and technology combine in the Sennebogen Museum

Materials handling specialist Sennebogen has opened a museum honouring the company’s founder. The company’s corporate philosophy is “No such thing as it cannot be done “and Sennebogen LLC’s president Constantino Lannes, said, “This belief is very evident in the exhibits of the Erich Sennebogen Museum, unveiled recently.”

Eight historic machines, from the first manure loader to a current hydraulic excavator, chronicle the development of Sennebogen products over six decades. Extensive displays of large-scale images and documents showcase the development of the company and the personality of the man who built it. The pyramid-shaped building with its glass dome, located in Straubing, Germany, the home of Sennebogen, is based on Erich Sennebogen’s own initial drafts. A distinctive mix of history and state-of-the-art technology, the facility provides an impressive ambience for visitors while incorporating numerous innovations for sustainable, energy-efficient construction.

In addition to the historical and cultural goals of the Erich Sennebogen Museum, the 700sqm (7000sqft) facility is also designed to host corporate events and conferences for up to 350 people.
