Hyster Shows New Big Truck at ConExpo
Hyster Co., Greenville, N.C., showcased its Tier 4 H450HDS big truck, which meets the revised U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Tier 4 Interim emissions standards for off-highway diesel engines, at ConExpo in Las Vegas, Nev., last week. The H450HDS, best suited for mining, general cargo, and lumber and steel mill applications, provides durability, reliability and increased maneuverability for more efficient load handling while decreasing the cost of operation and increasing productivity levels.
With a lifting capacity of 45,000 pounds, a 36-inch load center and a 138-inch wheelbase, the H450HDS is unique in its capacity class and is superior for applications where a tight turning radius is critical.
The H450HDS truck has a Cummins QSB6.7 Tier 4 Interim engine which features advanced electronic, high-pressure common-rail fuel systems, a variable geometry turbocharger, cooled exhaust gas recirculation, and diesel particulate filtration.
