Earl Wohlrab, robotic and palletising systems product manager of North American-based automated material handling solutions provider has been elected to the Robotic Industries Association (RIA) board of directors. Wohlrab began his two-year term following the board’s January meeting.
RIA announced its 2015 election results during the A3 business forum on Jan. 21 in Orlando, Florida. The association welcomed four new directors and renewed the membership of eight sitting director across supplier, integrator, user and researcher categories that represent various robotics constituencies. Jeff Burnstein, president of the RIA said, “I’m happy to be working with the new and returning board members to plan the strategic direction of our association this year. It’s an exciting time for the robotics industry and RIA membership is at a record number. We’re looking forward to continuing our mission of educating, promoting and advancing robotics.”
In addition to serving on the board of directors, Wohlrab will continue his involvement with the RIA certified integrator steering committee for manufacturing and distribution. Wohlrab is based in Intelligrated’s St. Louis office and leads product development that expands the application of robotic technology. He holds a master’s degree in engineering management from the University of South Florida and has 20 years of experience in the material handling industry with nearly 15 years of experience in robotics.
