Italian crane manufacturer PM appoint two new senior roles
Leading Italian manufacturer of truck mounted hydraulic cranes PM S.p.A. has announced the appointment of Stefano Ghesini as sales director, Italy and the promotion of Marco Castiglione to export sales director.
Ghesini, who has an extensive knowledge of the PM product, will be tasked with consolidating existing business relationships and expanding the main distribution channels for PM cranes.
He began his career in the crane sector working in a small company in northern Italy, where he was responsible for the development of the sales network. He then began the historical collaboration with PM that ran for over 12 years and was a period of important professional growth. During this time he was entrusted with the responsibility of managing the French, Spanish, Middle Eastern, Eastern European, African and American markets. He returns to PM after two and a half years as commercial director with Italian flat pack furniture company PlayWood.
“I am proud to return to the PM family, – said Ghesini after the announcement of the appointment – which in recent years has invested in innovation, quality and service. I am confident and convinced that with my experience in the field of hydraulic cranes, I will build more and more solid and lasting relationships with customers by developing sales strategies and activities that contribute to strengthen the PM brand in Italy”.
In the role of export sales director, a position he has been overseeing for some time now, Castiglione has the task of developing new business strategies and gathering market intelligence to respond effectively to industry needs. Having been with PM for nearly two decades, he has excellent product and company knowledge, including technical expertise and experience across international markets. Specifically, he has developed and consolidated the commercial network of European, Australian and New Zealand markets. He was also key in developing a new commercial network in the UK. Castiglione began his career with Europress, leaving in 1998 to become a service engineer for PM. After a brief stint elsewhere as he moved into a sales role, he then returned to PM two years later in 2003.
“I am grateful to the company for the task I was assigned, a role that I accepted immediately with enthusiasm. – said Castiglione – Over the years, I have had the opportunity to build an important commercial network based on solid professional relationships that over time, have become more personal too, as many customers are now friends and companions. We have together faced moments of difficulty but also moments of great success, which have allowed us to become a great team, that has led PM to be one of the world leaders in the truck crane world.”
Speaking about the two appointments, General Manager Giovanni Tacconi said:
“We are happy to have Stefano and Marco, experienced and talented professionals to drive the sales department. I believe with conviction that they will bring, thanks to their extensive knowledge of the product and markets, an important contribution to the development of the business plan in the coming years.”
Tacconi reiterates “I am confident that together we will continue to provide the attentive service that our customers expect from PM.”
