JLG Announces Organizational Changes
JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, Pa., announced company-wide personnel changes last week within its sales, parts, customer support, and marketing departments, as well as overseas. Following are the changes, organized by department.
Marketing
Bill Lasky, chief executive officer, president, and chairman of the board, announced that Craig Paylor, JLG's senior vice president, North American sales, marketing and customer support, will be attending Harvard University's Business School for two months. During Paylor's sabbatical, Tim Morris, vice president of sales and service for domestic distribution; Wade Jones, director of parts, accessories sales and marketing; and Joe Dixon, president of ServicePlus, will report directly to Bill Lasky.
Additionally, David Baxter has now assumed responsibility for North American marketing as the director of North American marketing and market development. In this newly created role, Baxter will be responsible for the success of the marketing business plan, as well as the telehandler product management function. Personnel reporting to Baxter include Howard Kaplan, vice president and product parent, aerial work platforms; Maye Houck, manager marketing communications; Holly Miller, marketing information specialist; and Cindy Gelvin, senior administrative assistant for marketing.
Sales
The JLG sales, dealer development, and customer contact center also have undergone personnel changes. Chris Mellott, vice president domestic field sales and service, has assumed responsibility for all JLG field sales and service personnel. Under this new structure, domestic field sales and service teams' efforts are more closely aligned, ultimately creating a more efficient system to deliver higher levels of customer satisfaction.
All departments within the customer contact center will now directly report to Scott Milligan, who has accepted the newly created position of director, customer interaction center. The customer contact center now consists of parts, service, and sales.
Ed Reuschling, vice president, sales administration/sales operation compliance officer, has assumed additional responsibility for dealer development, which includes working with the new dealer advisory councils. Reuschling will continue to serve as JLG's corporate sales compliance officer.
Parts
In the parts department, Mike Kendall has accepted the position of manager, parts marketing and customer connectivity. In this new position, Kendall will continue to have responsibility for online express activities, but he now will be responsible for leading all customer connectivity projects, and providing leadership to all sales, marketing, and customer support IT projects. Additionally, the parts marketing team also will report to Kendall.
Bob O'Hagan also has accepted the position of manager, parts purchasing and forecasting. In this new position, O'Hagen will be dedicated to implementing the systems and processes to support the Caterpillar-branded product.
In conjunction with the distribution center move to Orrville, Ohio, Josh Koontz has accepted the position of manager, logistics, parts and accessories distribution. Koontz will be replacing Vic Erickson, who will continue to lead the relocation project team.
Customer Support
Outside North America, Jonnie Dawson has joined JLG as the sales director, European telehandler and reports to Wayne Lawson, vice president, sales and customer support • Europe, Africa and Middle East. Dawson replaces Maurizio Risso, who is now the product parent for the Caterpillar Alliance Group.
Luciano Gardin has been promoted to customer support manager, European telehandler. Reporting to Jonnie Dawson, this new position will focus on customer support throughout the EAME region and management of service delivery to the Same Deutz-Fahr relationship. Simone Tosca replaces Luciano in his previous position as service manager for joined, and she is based at the JLG Italia SSO in Pregnana Milanese, Milan, Italy.
