Load Systems International Opens U.K. Division

Canadian-based Load Systems International has expanded its operations into Europe by launching its U.K. division, Load Systems UK Ltd. Based in Aberdeen, Scotland, Load Systems UK will be led by managing director Kirk Anderson, who will provide leadership along with the senior management team of Millar Kennedy, sales director, and Richard Legge, technical director. The Aberdeen operation will be responsible for the U.K., Europe, and Middle East market sectors, providing wireless instrumentation and technology to the crane and lifting industry. This includes safe load indicators, load cells, load links, load pin shackles, wind speed sensors, A2B switches, running line tensiometers and ATEX Zone 1 certified sensors.

David Smith, CEO and president of Load systems International, said, “We currently operate from locations around the world with facilities in Houston; Quebec City; Adelaide, Australia; and Dubai. The Aberdeen operation is ideally situated and will play a major role in LSI’s growth plans. With Kirk, Millar, and Richard on-board, we have an experienced, dynamic management team who will help establish LSI as the premiere provider of wireless lifting products and technology across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.”

According to Anderson, Aberdeen is the oil capital of Europe and the ideal platform for the company’s UK operations.
