More Snorkel narrow RT scissors for Banner plant
As part of a considerable investment to continually refresh their hire fleet, Banner Plant has taken delivery of three more Snorkel S2755RT narrow rough terrain scissor lifts.
This most recent delivery increases their total fleet of Snorkel S2755RT scissor lifts to ten. The machines, which were assembled in Snorkel’s UK manufacturing facility, were delivered to Banner Plant’s Derby depot in early February and handed over to depot manager, Adam Clarke by Jon Plaskitt, area sales manager for Snorkel UK.
The Snorkel S2755RT combines all of the features of a standard compact rough terrain scissor lift, with an ultra-narrow width of 1.45m. This means that it can be used in confined spaces such as between industrial units, where scaffolding may have traditionally been used. Reaching a maximum working height of 10.1m, the Snorkel S2755RT is capable of lifting up to 300kg and includes a 1.2m roll-out deck extension as standard. Four auto-level outriggers that benefit from an inverted design which protects the cylinder rod from damage are also fitted as standard. Weighing just 2,750kg, the Snorkel S2755RT can be towed on a trailer between jobsites, and benefits from powerful four-wheel drive and rough terrain capabilities.
A long-established plant hire company, Banner Plant offers a wide range of products and services for hire and sale. Headquartered in Dronfield, on the outskirts of Sheffield, Banner Plant operates hire centres in Dronfield, Chesterfield, Derby, Leeds, Leicester, Rotherham and Ossett.
Gary Crofts, sales and operations director at Banner Plant explains their ongoing fleet investment, which includes this recent Snorkel order. “Our policy is to ensure that we continue to provide our customers with a modern, technically acceptable, competitive product offering. Our broad spectrum of hire items available includes plant, powered access, big air, power tools, accommodation and serviced toilets, and we believe that it is essential that we continually invest in refreshing the hire fleet, our transport and service facilities for the benefit of all of our customers, in construction, commerce and industry.”
Adam Clarke, depot manager at Banner Plant’s Derby hire centre, added, “The Snorkel S2755RT rough terrain scissor lifts are proving very popular with our customers in the construction sector, as the jobsites they are working on are becoming increasingly restricted in terms of site access and the working space between structures. These scissor lifts can tackle the jobsite terrain while still navigating into tight spaces where this type of equipment previously could not access.”
