Nidec Avtron Automation Reorganizes Service Team | Industry News

Nidec Avtron Automation is expanding and reorganizing its service department. The service department has been grouped into three industry focused teams led by regional service team leaders. Nidec Avtron’s service department is trained to install, commission and repair drive systems and encoders in the following industries: cranes, mining, marine, metals, pulp and paper, wind power, and oil and gas.

Nidec Avtron’s goal is to provide better service to customers and be closer to them geographically for faster response. The mining and interior team is based in Wyoming, Arizona, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. The cranes and coastal service team is based in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Alabama, and Ohio. The paper and metals team is based out of the Cleveland, Ohio Headquarters. Service engineers on all teams are cross-trained to work on equipment in all of the industries that Nidec-Avtron serves.

“We reorganized into industry focused teams to provide better service to our customers and meet their needs quickly," Robert Szabo, director of service, said. "This strategic step is part of our regional deployment expansion program.”

Nidec-Avtron hired several seasoned service engineers in the past year and will continue to add skilled service department personnel in the coming year.
