Peter Hird & Sons to Exhibit Winlet Vacuum Robots at LiftEx Trade Show

Peter Hird & Sons Ltd, the UK distributor for Winlet vacuum robots, has confirmed that it will exhibit at the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association’s (LEEA) annual LiftEx trade show, which takes place at the UK’s USN Bolton Arena, 14-15 November, 2013. LHI is the event’s Official Publication.

The Winlet vacuum robot range is specifically designed for eliminating manual handling onsite for applications such as glazing. The robots use vacuum technology for lifting units up to 600kg. Units can also handle steel sheet, cladding, fire doors, plasterboard, marble and fibreglass products.

The twin action vacuum pumps offer a safe vacuum lifting solution, while the versatility and flexibility of the robots facilitates the lifting, moving and installation of loads in various positions and applications.

The Winlet has a low weight ratio and, with twin rugged tyres, can be moved around on most terrains with limited ground bearing load pressures.

The Winlet is a DC electric powered unit with a built in battery charger using 16 Amp 110V power supply offering users a “full day’s work”, said Carl Cooper, sales and after sales, Peter Hird & Sons Ltd.

The unit is controlled by an onboard multi function controller for lift functions using a simple pictorial display, as well as an intelligent load monitor. The drive is controlled by a proportional pedestrian controlled tiller including emergency safety cutouts.

Winlet vacuum robots are targeted at glazers, façade and curtain walling installers, plasterers, cladders, stonemasons and joiners.

Peter Hird & Sons Ltd, which operates from three locations in the UK, with each depot having access to a network of nationwide, factory-trained mobile service engineers, will exhibit at LiftEx stand 82. Hird has over 30 years of experience in the rent and sale of lifting and access equipment.
