Reid Lifting wins Welsh business award

Chepstow based Red Lifting is celebrating after being named ‘Small Business of the Year’ at the Welsh Business Awards.

The lifting and lowering specialist was recognised for its strong financial performance in 2019 and its global exporting success, as well as its operational efficiencies and impressive marketing campaigns.

The Reid team were presented with their trophy by TV presenter Gethin Jones at a black tie, red carpet event held at Cardiff’s City Hall at the beginning of March.

Speaking after the event, Reid’s managing director Simon Luke said, “This is an incredible achievement for the whole of the Reid Lifting team in a year when we have made radical changes right across the business. It’s testament to the hard work, drive and determination of everyone here and gives us a great platform for the next planned stage in our growth.”

The Award comes at an exciting time for Reid Lifting, having just announced new initiatives in Europe and the US, and with a raft of new products in development and a sustained shift towards greater sustainability.
