SAIA Announces 2012 Annual Convention and Exposition Dates and Agenda

The Scaffold & Access Industry Association reports its 2012 Annual Convention and Exposition will take place July 15-18 at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa in Huntington Beach, Calif.

Five different training classes will take place, including a mast climbers operator training course on July 15 and a train-the-trainer facilitator skills workshop, which will be held July 13-14 before the convention begins.

Education sessions will be provided by each SAIA council. For example, the Suspended Scaffold Council will review Work at Height Rescues and Know the Danger of Electricity. The Industrial Council will present a Mid-Year Update on Industrial Trends and Outlook for these markets, including construction, industrial manufacturing, metals and mining, and paper and pulp. The Aerial Work Platform Council will present Lessons Learned in Aerial Lift/Equipment Rentals, and the Fall Protection Council will look at Self-Retracting Lifelines or Shock Absorbing Lanyards: Know why they work and where they don’t, and Vertical Lifelines: Don’t hang it and forget about it!
