Sunbelt Completes Acquisition of NationsRent

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc., Charlotte, N.C., announced it has completed the acquisition by merger of NationsRent Companies. The acquisition is valued at $1 billion and creates the third largest equipment rental provider in the U.S. rental market with more than 470 locations, including 100 NationsRent locations at Lowe's.

“We are pleased that the acquisition is completed, and we can work to bring the two organizations together,” said Cliff Miller, president and chief executive officer of Sunbelt Rentals. “Our new geographic footprint and expanded product and service offering helps achieve Sunbelt's market strategy.”

Bryan Rich, former co-chairman and executive director of NationsRent, is joining the Sunbelt management team. He added that there will be greater opportunities for career growth and development as Sunbelt continues to grow.
