Teupen Leo 15GT Set for Release

Teupen Maschinenbau GmbH is further expanding its LEO range of track-mounted aerial lifts, including an update to the smallest model in the range, LEO13GT, integration of the new intelligent “FuzzyIV” control in the LEO30T and LEO36T, and a new addition to its product line, the LEO15GT will also be presented as a completely new product edition.

Since the LEO 13GT was launched in 2009, it has become a popular entry-level model for the track-mounted segment. In addition to the standard electric motor, Teupen now can deliver the unit with a permanently installed generator as an option.. Teupen decided on a Robin-Subaru gas engine unit with automatic speed control, which ensures low consumption and optimum performance.

The LEO13GT is also used as a basis for the new LEO15GT. The boom sections of the LEO15GT have a high-quality anodized finish, and it uses the same platform, safety technology, fully automated leveling, the same basket unit, and cable remote controls as the 13GT. Additionally, it also has a height- and width adjustable track chassis and can be equipped with a diesel or gas engine. The LEO15GT has a working height of 14.7 metres and a maximum outreach of 7.6 metres at a full basket load of 200 kg.

With the LEO15GT, Teupen offers an alternative product in the track segment with working heights of up to 18 metres. The LEO15GT is fundamentally different from the LEO15GTplus, which was introduced last year. Both products appeal to a different range of customers with specific requirements. The LEO15GTplus is well-equipped and can reach a working height of 15.5 metres and an outreach of 7.9 metres. It also has improved stabiliser technology and movable jib arm.

With the introduction of the FuzzyIV control technology for the LEO30T and LEO36T, Teupen says this is the first time a radio remote-controlled tracked platform has been equipped with an operating panel in which the remote can be easily fitted and then immediately displays graphical information for the operator. Available information on the tilt range, outrigger locking status, ground pressure and outrigger setup status (for example, in outrigger operation during automatic stabilisation) is now displayed.

During lift operation, all available boom movements are displayed. In addition, the display indicates when reaching the load limit, exceeding the basket load limit and it supports the operator while approaching the transport position.
