Top Nissan Forklift Dealer Sales Professionals Win Trip to Costa Rica
Nissan Forklift Corporation, Marengo, Ill., has awarded its top dealers’ sales professionals of both new forklifts and aftermarket parts with a trip to Costa Rica at its Pack for the Sun event.
More than 40 sales professionals joined Nissan Forklift personnel on a seven-day, six-night trip to a resort in Puntarenas, Costa Rica as a thank you for their continued commitment to growing the Nissan Forklift brand.
To qualify for the trip, dealer sales managers and sales representatives were entered into three contest groups determined by their dealership’s market size in units. Parts managers and aftermarket personnel were entered into four contest groups determined by market sizes in total parts sold. The highest number of points determined the top sales representative in each contest group during 2011.
“The annual trip is always a wonderful time for our representatives to interact with peers and executives during an exciting event,” said James J. Radous III, vice president, sales and marketing, Nissan Forklift. “This year’s adventure served as a gift of thanks for all the hard work our Nissan Forklift dealers do. We want to reward them for their loyalty to Nissan Forklift, and encourage them to qualify for next year’s trip, as we launch the competition again.”
“My favorite part of the trip was seeing old friends. I’ve made a lot of friends over the 23 years that I’ve been working with Nissan Forklift,” said Jim Wilson, a former Nissan Forklift Pinnacle Sales Award winner and senior account manager from Forklift Systems in Nashville, Tennessee. “A lot of people try very hard to earn the opportunity to attend this. It’s a lofty goal, but I break it into smaller targets and try to sell a certain number of units each month or quarter to qualify.”
