Under the rainbow
Last week Vertikal Days, was held at the Newark showground in the UK for the first time. The linear layout made sure that visitors didn’t miss anything and it was easy to negotiate.
Unfortunately, the first day was cold and ranged between brilliant sunshine and torrential rain resulting in spectacular rainbows – the second day was far more comfortable. On both days visitor traffic was good with around 3000 individual visitors attending the show and there was plenty to see with a significant number of new products and more than 40 new exhibitors representing more than 50 new companies.
ILH will carry a full review of the show in our October issue but to whet your appetite here are a few examples of what was on show.
Niftylift showed its first telescopic boom to go into production, the 22m working height all electric HR22S. CMC launched its new 20m S20 spider lift and introduced the company’s new export area manager, Federico Tomba. Dingli highlighted its 138ft BA44HRT articulated hybrid boom along with its increasingly popular heavy duty high reach scissor lifts.
First time exhibitor Jovoo showed the V14 14m articulated boom while Sinoboom not only had its latest models on show, but the show was attended by Susan Xu the company’s CEO
XCMG launched a 48.7m working height articulated boom lift, the 161ft XGA48K while in contrast MEC focused on its range of micro scissors.
The marketplace too was full of interesting lifting, safety and inspection equipment and you will certainly be reading more about the Ganterud levelling yoke shown on the Hoistech stand in the outside area.
